Report: Celtics Still Interested in Acquiring O.J. MayoWhile Jason Terry will help fill the void left by Ray Allen, the Celtics could still look to add some backcourt depth. O.J. Mayo is one name that's been tossed around throughout the offseason, and the Celtics apparently aren't closing the book on acquiring the free-agent guard.

The C's are still interested in acquiring Mayo, according to CSNNE.com, but they may have to do so via a sign-and-trade.

"The Celtics still have interest in O.J. Mayo, and right now they are not [in] the position to give O.J. the kind of money he's looking for," CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely said. "But certainly with sign-and-trade possibilities, then all of a sudden O.J. becomes a player the Celtics might make a run at."

Mayo averaged 12.6 points per game off the bench for the Grizzlies last season. The 24-year-old recorded a career-high 18.5 points per game as a rookie starter in 2008-09, but he's since become a reserve player for Memphis.
