Report: Dwight Howard Asked by Magic GM to Reconsider Stance, But All-Star Still Wants Out of OrlandoMake no mistake about it, Dwight Howard still wants out of Orlando.

Magic general manager Rob Hennigan called Howard Wednesday night to see if he'd be willing to reconsider giving the new front office regime a chance to keep him in Orlando, but the All-Star center still wants out, according to ESPN.com.

Hennigan, who was hired as the Magic's general manager last month, reportedly based his plea on the fact that he's new to the organization, and therefore wasn't a part of what drove Howard to request a trade. Team president Alex Martins was reportedly also on the call, and he made a similar attempt last winter, which Howard apparently remembers.

"I already heard that from the other guy on the phone," Howard reportedly said while expressing his unwillingness to change his stance.

Hennigan's call comes after the Brooklyn Nets, long seen as a potential destination and the team that Howard truly wanted to go to, pulled out of trade talks. The Nets instead signed restricted free agent Brook Lopez, who now cannot be traded until Jan. 15 per the new collective bargaining agreement.

Brooklyn or no Brooklyn, though, the saga continues.
