Fresh off of his dynamic showing at the 2012 UEFA European Championships, Balotelli will now begin planning for the birth of his first child, according to the Mail.
Fico, 24, broke the news to Balotelli on the eve of Italy’s semifinal clash against Germany. The striker received the news positively, saying, “You gave me the best news of the world,” according to Fico.
Balotelli’s actions back up Fico’s statement. He turned in a dominating performance against the Germans, scoring both of Italy’s goals in a 2-1 victory.
Balotelli and Fico separated in early May amidst reports of alleged infidelity on the part of the Manchester City striker. However, the two will attempt to make things work.
“Mario and I are rebuilding our relationship. He never stopped loving me. Those who think I’ve wanted to trap the rich and famous footballer will have to think again,” said Fico.
The ever-understanding Fico went on to disclose that raising a child has been in Balotelli’s plans for quite some time.
“Last Christmas, he told me: ‘Let’s get married and make a son,’ and I accepted. Now I’m waiting to discover the sex of the child, although he would prefer a boy, and to choose the name,” she said.
While “Super Mario’s” antics have been well documented, Fico has never been afraid of the spotlight herself. Rising to fame in the Italian version of reality show “Big Brother” back in 2008, she tried to capitalize on her burgeoning fame by making the bold proposal of exchanging her virginity in return for one million euros.
Balotelli is the latest in Fico’s long history with soccer-related personalities. She is rumored to have attended the infamous parties of former Italian Prime Minister, and current AC Milan owner, Silvio Berlusconi. Meanwhile, before Balotelli, Fico dated Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, a detail that doesn’t help support her claims of not trying to latch onto a rich athlete.
Balotelli is not short of options himself. The 21-year-old has enjoyed the high life with a long list of high-profile relationships, though the birth of his first child may convince him to settle down with Fico.
