Report: Ray Allen Likely to Choose Between Heat and Clippers, But Celtics Still an OptionRay Allen was reportedly set to meet with the Miami Heat on Thursday before speaking with the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. It's starting to sound like the free agent guard is likely to choose between one of those two teams, instead of re-signing with the Celtics.

ESPN.com reports that Allen's top two choices are the Clippers and the Heat right now. The Celtics, who are able to give Allen the biggest contract in terms of money, are still an option, though.

The report also states that LeBron James and Chris Paul are leading the charge in terms of recruiting for their respective teams.

While neither can give Allen the type of money the Celtics could offer him, both teams would offer the 36-year-old something of interest. Joining the defending champion Heat would obviously give Allen a great chance at winning another title, but the Clippers do offer a chance to increase his playing time. That was thought to be a point of contention for the future Hall of Famer after Allen lost his starting shooting guard spot to Avery Bradley last year for the Celtics.

Boston also reportedly came to terms with Jason Terry earlier in the week.

UPDATE: According to The Los Angeles Times, the Clippers have canceled their meeting with Allen after reportedly signing Chauncey Billups and Jamal Crawford. Read more here.
