Report: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva Could Join PSG in Blockbuster Double TransferZlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva could be set to trade Milan for Paris.

AC Milan has accepted a joint bid for both players from French club Paris Saint-Germain, according to Yahoo! Eurosport UK.

PSG are reportedly willing to pay £51.3 million (about $79.5 million) for the services of two players considered to be amongst the best in their respective positions.

Already linked with a move to Paris, Silva was reportedly close to joining PSG earlier in the summer. A fee between the clubs and personal terms on Silva's part were completed — only for AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi to cancel the deal at the last minute.

Ibrahimovic, 30, has just finished captaining Sweden in the 2012 UEFA European Championship. The lanky Swede is one of the most accomplished strikers of the past decade, winning trophies in Holland, Italy, and Spain. The former Barcelona player is renowned for his goal-scoring consistency, as well as his outspoken demeanor that has contributed to a somewhat nomadic career (stops include Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, and AC Milan).

As for Silva, many consider the 27-year-old to be the best center back in the game. The Brazilian is a complete defender and — fitting with his nationality — extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet. Silva had seemingly committed his future to the Italians with a new contract following the breakdown of his initial transfer. However, his deal looks back on and he may be taking "Ibra" with him.

If completed, the deal would reflect the seismic change in fortunes of both clubs. The Parisians new Qatari owners have money to burn and have spent the last several transfer windows cherry-picking top names from Serie A. Players such as Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez, and Thiago Motta, have been recruited to play under former AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti in the French capital.

Meanwhile, Milan — arguably Italy's most successful club — has been hit hard by the global economic crisis and is willing to contribute to the Italian exodus in order to balance the books.
