Sugarloaf Golf Club — not to be confused with TPC Sugarloaf in Georgia — is one of New England's true golfing gems.

The course was designed by architectural luminary Robert Trent Jones Jr., who called it one of the finest projects he had ever been associated with. The accolades back that assessment up, as the course is regularly rated the top course in Maine — public or private — by Golf Digest. Built in the shadow of Sugarloaf Mountain, nowadays the property not only has all the traditional ammenities you would expect, but has also made itself into a weekend getaway destination, featuring a full resort and other fun activities.
