The New England area was well represented at this year's London Olympics, and the Patriots will recognize the achievements of five local participants before Monday's game against the Eagles at Gillette Stadium.
The Pats will honor gymnast Aly Raisman, judoka Kayla Harrison, swimmer Elizabeth Beisel and women's basketball players Tina Charles and Asjha Jones.
Raisman, a Needham, Mass., native, gained national recognition as a result of her efforts. She was the captain of the gold medal-winning U.S. team, and won individual gold in the floor exercise and a bronze on the balance beam.
Harrison (Marblehead, Mass.) became the first American to win gold in judo, and Beisel (North Kingstown, R.I.) won a silver and bronze medal in the swimming events she participated in.
Charles and Jones, members of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun, were part of the women's hoops team that won gold in London.
