UFC will be celebrating a milestone this weekend in Denver as UFC 150 takes place Saturday night, and Bovada has the event covered with all the mixed martial arts betting odds in place and ready to go. The main event features UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson defending his title against former champion Frankie Edgar.
If Edgar can defeat Henderson, he?ll become the first two-time champion in the 155-pound weight class, but the odds are not in his favor. Henderson has lost just once in the last five years and beat Edgar by decision at UFC 144. Henderson is the -200 favorite to win on Bovada?s UFC betting lines, while Edgar?s odds are set at +160.
Edgar campaigned for months following the loss looking for a rematch, especially because he believes he won the fight. UFC President Dana White granted the bout, but has stated that this will likely be the last between the two, as he wants the Lightweight Division to open up, particularly for competitor Nate Diaz, who will almost assuredly be granted a title shot, regardless of who wins this Saturday.
The main card features four other matches, including a middleweight bout between favorite Jake Shields, at -200, against Ed "Short Fuse" Herman, at +160. Shields is moving from the welterweight division and is looking to make an impact in his new weight class immediately.
Also, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone looks to make quick work of Melvin "The Young Assassin" Guillard and is a -315 favorite over Guilard?s +245. In a tough match to predict, Justin "The American Kid" Lawrence has a slight edge in betting odds over Max "Blessed" Holloway at -120 and -110, respectively.
Finally, Yushin "Thunder" Okami represents the only international fighter on the main card. He?s a strong -600 favorite over Buddy Roberts and his +400 line.
