See, Bill Belichick has a softer side.
The Patriots head coach showed off his fatherly ways during Wednesday night's practice at Gillette Stadium, planting a smooch right on the elbow of Aaron Hernandez after the tight end took a tumble during a 7-on-7 drill.
"I had a little bruise on my elbow and I was whining about it, and he was just showing me the love of a father figure and he gave me a kiss on the elbow," Hernandez said after practice.
Aww. How cute? And this didn't even require any special requests from Hernandez, who admitted that he appreciated the gesture.
"No, I didn't ask him," Hernandez said while smiling. "I damn sure liked it, though. Felt some love."
Well, love does make the world go 'round. Even in the Patriots locker room.
