Boston Fan Mike Columbare One ‘Face of the Nation’ Sticking With Teams Through Good Times and Bad (Video)

Mike Columbare truly believes he was bred to be a Boston sports fan.

The Malden, Mass. native roots for all of the local teams unwaveringly, and attributes that devotion to the sports culture that his parents surrounded him with growing up.

For the past 12 years, Mike has traveled to Fenway Park to camp out for Opening Day tickets. According to his girlfriend Erin Galvin, “there is no day more sacred and special to him than the first game of the year at Fenway.”

With a wardrobe consisting of 95 percent Boston sports apparel, featuring a throwback Tom Brady jersey that only sees the wash when the Patriots lose, Mike truly lives and breathes Boston sports. He has even created his own pregame drink in support of the team. The recipe calls for one beer and one dash of his “holy dirt” taken from some memorable moments at Fenway Park.

As a member of Red Sox Nation, Mike knows what it’s like to live and die with a team. Meet one of the “Faces of the Nation” in the above video.
