Clay Buchholz Spells ‘Clutch’ His Own Special Way in Win Over Baltimore (Video)

Just when things couldn’t possibly sink any lower… Clay Buchholz takes the mound and totally redeems the Red Sox.

Buchholz was stellar and boy, did he need to be. After falling behind early, the Red Sox starter put the clamps down on Baltimore and allowed Boston to claw their way back into things, eventually take the lead and ultimately win. It didn’t hurt that he made a bit of history along the way, too.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is spelling clutch “C-L-A-Y” after this one, so he’s awarding the 28-year-old our “Clutchholz” player of the game. Who’s yours?

Who is your “Clutchholz” player of the game?
