Aubrey Graham, the artist popularly known as Drake, proved that it’s not such a bad thing for an international star to spend some time on his home turf.

The hip-hop star and Toronto native visited BMO field on Wednesday, getting the royal treatment from his local club.

Decked out in full Toronto FC battle gear, Drake took to the field for a few kicks.

We have little information about what he was doing there or what took place, but we do have proof that Aubrey, er, Drake was present. Someone was there to capture the visit, posting photographs on Instagram.

The only thing that was missing was someone to play with him. He bent a few free kicks around stationary obstacles, but that can’t be as much fun as weaving through the Toronto defense as so many have done before. His old pal Mario Balotelli is busy trying to help Manchester City defend its Premier League title. Common or Chris Brown have probably sent any calls straight to voicemail.
