The Red Sox community has come out in full force to remember Johnny Pesky since the Sox legend passed away.
Now, as the team returns to Fenway Park for the first time since Pesky's death, the Sox are finding other ways to honor the man close to everyone's heart.
Pesky's No. 6, which has been retired by the Red Sox, has been mowed into the outfield grass ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Angels. Pesky spent much of his time in Boston playing shortstop, meaning his number rests just behind the dirt on which he did his work decades ago.
