Giovani dos Santos Will Miss Men's Olympic Soccer Gold Medal Game With Hamstring InjuryGiovani dos Santos will miss the men's Olympic soccer gold medal game between Mexico and Brazil. The "Tri" striker has a hamstring injury that will keep him out of action for two weeks.

Dos Santos was substituted at halftime during the semifinal game against Japan after feeling some pain in one of his legs. The medical staff tried to rehabilitate him, but after some medical tests it was determined he was not fit to play.

The Tottenham player expressed his sadness on his Twitter account just minutes after the announcement of his injury was made.

"Very sad, i will miss the final because of a hamstring injury," dos Santos tweeted. "Now I will have to recover and support my teammates on Saturday."

He will also miss Mexico's friendly game against United States on August 15 at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
