The battle of sports computer games continues. After Konami released the demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013, rival EA Sports has hit back after releasing the trailer of FIFA 13, EA Sports' franchise soccer game.

This year, three-time FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi will be the star featured on the game's cover.

The newest version of the game will introduce a feature called EA Sports Football Club Match Day which connects the game with the real world to bring users real news related to their favorite teams such as injuries, team activity, suspensions and even rumors. These elements will be brought through in-game commentary, meaning play-by-play and analysts will comment on an injury of a player that happened in real life and how good a certain team has been playing lately. The player will have the option to follow and play his or her favorite team's real life schedule.

FIFA 13 will feature the voices of English broadcaster Martin Tyler and former Arsenal player Alan Smith for the English commentary, and ESPN Deportes’ commentators Fernando Palomo, Ciro Procuna and soccer legend Mario Kempes for the Spanish commentary.

FIFA 13 will be released on September 25 in the United States.
