Long Summer Without Hockey May Continue for NHL Fans Thanks to Potential Lockout

For many NHL fans, the dog days of summer are just another stretch of weeks without any hockey to watch.

By this point, two months removed from the Los Angeles Kings' romp through the playoffs en route to winning the Stanley Cup, the most hardcore of fans may have begun suffering from a bit of NHL withdrawal.

And with another lockout looming in the face of slow negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement, it may be even longer than usual before NHL diehards can get their hockey fix.
