Minor League Team's Owl Mascots Announce They Are Expecting Owl Mascot BabyDoes somebody need to teach Wally about the birds and the bees?

The Orem Owlz, a rookie ball affiliate of the Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim, had an announcement to make during Saturday’s game.

Their owl mascots, Hootz and Holly, are expecting a baby — and the due date is Opening Day, 2013.

Holly, the female, told her hubby Hootz that she was “on the nest” during an on-field ceremony, producing an owl pregnancy test with the proof. The news was too much for Hootz to bear, however, and he fainted from all the excitement.

The video of the exchange is here, and it’s pretty great. And yes, the two owls have been married for three years.
