Rajon Rondo Predicts Celtics Will Win NBA Championship, Beat Rockets 'Pretty Badly' When Jeremy Lin Comes to BostonFrom declaring that he believes he is the best point guard in the NBA to disclosing his intention to retire as the greatest point guard in Celtics history, Rajon Rondo does not lack confidence. As his travels as part of the Red Bull tour swung through Hong Kong, Rondo had some more brash words.

This time, Rondo was not making any individual boasts, but a team one.

Rondo "expects the Celtics to unseat Miami and win the NBA title in the coming season," according to the article, although it does not quote the Celtics point guard saying so.

"We have high expectations every year… I think we got better than last year," Rondo told The Standard newspaper in Hong Kong on Friday at a sponsored event where he trained young players. He also praised the additions of Jason Terry and Courtney Lee, as well as the team's decision to retain Jeff Green.

Several other blunt comments are attributed to Rondo but not quoted at length. He merely said "he's fine" when asked about Ray Allen's departure to Miami, and said the Celtics will beat Jeremy Lin and the Rockets "pretty badly" this season.

Rondo also called the Los Angeles Lakers' lineup of Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash formidable on paper while noting that those players had yet to accomplish anything together.
