It’s Shark Week, so stay away from the beach and learn up on the terror of the high seas.

Red Sox prospect Chris Carpenter — who fans might recognize as the player the team received in exchange for letting Theo Epstein sign with the Cubs — celebrated this year with a photo of a shark he caught while apparently doing a little bit of fishing.

Considering that the PawSox are in Buffalo on Monday and there aren’t many sharks in upstate New York, the photo the right-hander tweeted out may be an old one. That said, it’s still pretty cool.

Fans may also remember reliever Mark Melancon swimming with sharks back in February, as seen here.
