Stephon Marbury Sends Unsolicited Email to GQ Magazine, With Photos of His Statue in China (Photo)Say this for Stephon Marbury: He seems to be in a good

Marbury, who started 74 games for the New York Knicks in the
2006-07 season only to have his career abruptly end just two years later at the
age of 31, has managed to stay involved in the game that brought him fame and
fortune. Unlike many other former NBA players who finish out
their careers in Europe, Marbury headed across the other ocean once he found himself without a suitor in the states. He recently helped the
Beijing Ducks win the Chinese Basketball Association championship, leading
Ducks fans to dedicate a statue in his honor.

Now Marbury wants to tell the world that the guy once known as
"Starbury" is back. He started by sending an unsolicited email to GQ,
complete with photos of himself with the statue that was unveiled back in May.

What's up! How are you? This is Stephon Marbury. I wanted to
send you some pictures from China. After winning the championship in China they
had a million people vote in a week to build a statue because I couldn't win
MVP by the CBA rules. They placed the statue on the lawn of the 2008 [O]lympic
basketball arena. I also did a book deal with the Beijing publishing group. I
just wanted to share this with you because you saw the turn around from one
point to another. Be well and take care. Love is love!

Marbury, 35, averaged more than 20 points per game seven
times for the Nets, Suns and Knicks. He signed as a free agent with the Celtics
in 2009, appearing in 23 games and starting four games, although he played sparingly
in the playoffs as Boston eventually lost to the Magic in seven games the
Eastern Conference semifinals.

It could have been a bitter end for many people, but Marbury is still managing to "Look Sharp, Live Smart."
