Usain Bolt and Rio Ferdinand Conspire to Bring World's Fastest Man to Manchester UnitedUsain Bolt isn’t content with being the fastest man on earth, so he’s looking for another field to conquer.

The Jamaican sprinter wants a chance to make the grade at Manchester United, and Rio Ferdinand has offered to help arraigned a tryout.

On Tuesday, the two stars had a short interaction on Twitter. Ferdinand may have been in a playful mood when he offered to contact United manager Sir Alex Ferguson on Bolt’s behalf, but the gold medal winner has serious soccer dreams.

Bolt is a longtime United fan, and he has visited the club on a few occasions. He enjoys playing soccer, and thinks he can help United’s bid to reclaim the Premier League title, according to the London Evening Standard.

“People think I am joking,” Bolt said. “But if Alex Ferguson called me up and said, ‘OK let’s do this, come and have a trial’, it would be impossible for me to say no.

“I would not take up the challenge if I didn’t think I was good enough. I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference.”

Bolt has already set a new Olympic record in the 100-meter dash, and he still has to defend his 200-meter and 4×100-meter relay crowns. After that, anything is possible.
