Usain Bolt's presence at Old Trafford on Saturday was somewhat lost amid wonder, horror and all things in between.

But the sprint king got his moment of communion with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the game, according to Reuters.

The Jamaican sprinter and longtime United fan was decked out in the three gold medals he won at the 2012 Summer Olympic games. He hung out with the United players in the tunnel before he took the field.

Bolt was then introduced to the capacity crowd and presented with a set of United jerseys bearing his name and sprint times at the Olympics.

The 25-year-old then addressed the crowd and urged them to help Rio Ferdinand convince Ferguson to offer him a chance to play for the Red Devils. It may have been a tounge-in-cheek request. Maybe it wasn't. Fans reportedly chanted "sign him up" after Bolt's request.

Bolt then watched a thrilling game that included a beautiful goal by Robin van Persie and a gruesome thigh injury suffered by Wayne Rooney.

After United prevailed 3-2, Bolt joined Ferguson in his office for a glass of red wine, some pies and a chat about something or another. Bolt himself was coy about what they discussed, but photos suggest Fersuon thought it was hilarious.
