Vote: Which Quarterback Will Lead the NFL in Passing Yards This Season? It’s no question that the quality of teams in the NFL can be separated by the quality of their quarterbacks. It is progressively becoming more and more necessary for a team to have an elite quarterback to become Super Bowl contenders.

Last season did nothing but strengthen this trend, as the league saw some of the best passing performances in the history of the NFL.

Drew Brees broke Dan Marino‘s passing record of 5,084 yards, a feat that Tom Brady also accomplished while leading the Patriots to the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a 15-1 record, and his presence alone made them look like an unbeatable powerhouse for much of the year as the Packers got off to a 13-0 record.

Perhaps the biggest quarterback story line of the year was the future Hall of Famer who didn’t play a single down — Peyton Manning. The typically dominant Indianapolis Colts fell to the bottom of the NFL without Manning, who is now a member of the Denver Broncos where fans have extremely high expectations.

Along with these elite quarterbacks, Eli Manning secured his second Super Bowl ring, Tim Tebow took the league by storm with his late-game heroics, and Cam Newton broke the single-season rushing touchdown record by a quarterback in his rookie year.

With so many great arms under center around the league, who do you think will lead the NFL in passing yards this season?
