Chipper Jones Receives Year's Supply of Sausages From Brewers During Farewell TourJust when Chipper Jones' farewell gifts couldn't get any more interesting, they did.

During his latest stop in Milwaukee, the Brewers presented the Braves third baseman with a cookout kit and a year's supply of sausages. To top it all off, Ryan Braun and Craig Counsell were the ones assigned to give him the gift.

"I got to play with him in the World Baseball Classic in 2009, so that was probably my most memorable Chipper experience," left fielder Ryan Braun told MLB.com. "Really getting to know him, to hang out with him, was cool.

"I love Chipper. Great player, great person, a lot of fun to be around. Obviously, he's had a tremendous career."

Since announcing his pending retirement in spring training, Jones has received an assortment of unique gifts from various clubs: a Green Monster plaque from the Red Sox, a surfboard from the Padres to a portrait from the Mets.

But the year's worth of sausage has to be the most original of them all — so far.
