Cody Ross Goes Berserk, Gets Ejected After Blowing Up on Umpire Alfonso Marquez (Video)Cody Ross rarely isn't smiling.

In the Red Sox clubhouse before games, the outfielder is vocal and seemingly always donning an ear-to-ear grin. In the dugout during games, he's also full of cheer just about every time the camera's on him.

On Wednesday night, though, Ross was anything but cheerful, as the outfielder was punched out late in Boston's loss to the New York Yankees.

Ross took a close pitch for a ball earlier in the at-bat, which only made him more upset when he was called out on strikes by Alfonso Marquez on a borderline slider from Rafael Soriano

The Red Sox outfielder was incensed at first, and almost broke his bat over the feet of Marquez. He thought better of it, obviously, and started to walk away. Then, he realized he wasn't done, and that's when things got ugly.

Ross spun around and had a few mouthfuls of curses to lob at Marquez, getting his money's worth in just the second ejection of his big league career.

Sox manager Bobby Valentine and third base coach Jerry Royster were also ejected shortly thereafter.
