Jason Terry has made a living off being an explosive sixth man, and it sounds like JET will continue to assume that key bench role when the Celtics kick off their 2012-13 season.
Doc Rivers recently sat down for a Q&A with The Boston Globe’s Bob Ryan, and one tidbit of information the Celtics coach revealed was that Courtney Lee will likely start at the two-guard spot in Avery Bradley‘s absence. That means Terry will serve as the team’s sixth man — a role he’s thrived in throughout his NBA career.
The news isn’t really that big of a surprise, as Terry’s ability to come off the bench and be productive is a major asset. It gives us a better indication of what exactly the second unit will look like to begin the season, though.
Bradley, whose impressive play earned him a starting spot last season, is expected to return sometime around December.
