Joel Hanrahan, Brett Keisel Take Time to Admire Each Other's Infamous BeardsIt's a clash of the beard titans.

Before Tuesday's baseball game, Pirates closer Joel
Hanrahan
and Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel convened together for batting
practice and took the opportunity to praise each other's notable facial hair.

"It's awesome," Hanrahan said of Keisel's beard, according to
Steelers.com. "I wish I was fortunate enough to grow one like that. I can only grow it on my
chin. He has a big following with that beard. I just started mine two years ago
and it's kind of gross, kind of disgusting, but that is how people recognize
me."

Keisel is known for having the most recognizable
beard in the National Football League while Hanrahan's beard is gaining
popularity over time. Hanrahan initially grew the facial hair before the 2011
season and vowed not to shave it until blowing a save.

After peeling off 26 straight saves and an All-Star
selection last season, Hanrahan elected to keep the beard anyway. While
Keisel's beard is still more famous — it made a cameo in The Dark Knight Rises — he admired the up and coming growth of Hanrahan's facial hair.

"His
is good," said Keisel of Hanrahan's beard. "You can tell he puts time into it.
It's a commitment. Any time you want length and success, you have to make a
commitment and that is what he is doing. I think it looks good.

"He
has a different style. He doesn't have the full go, but you have to give him
props."

With
the Pirates pushing for a playoff spot, they may have to take Keisel's motto — "Fear the Beard".
