Jon Lester's Winning Performance in Seattle Earns Him Amica Pitcher of the Week HonorsThe Red Sox have had a pretty rough stretch over the past 10 games, going a brutal 1-9. But that sole win came behind the powerful left arm of Jon Lester.

Lester has finally put together a nice run of outings, the most recent being Tuesday in Seattle. The Tacoma, Wash., native was making his only homecoming appearance this season, and he made sure to leave his mark.

In six innings of work, Lester allowed just three runs and struck out four as the Red Sox took their only win of the nine-game road trip in a 4-3 victory.

The win boosted Lester to a 9-11 record and cut his ERA to 4.99. This has undoubtedly been one of the 28-year-old's worst seasons in the big leagues, but the way he's been able to overcome the hardships offers definite hope for the 2013 campaign.

With the big win and the hard work to overcome the struggles, Lester has earned this week's Amica Pitcher of the Week honors.
