Jose Iglesias Back in Lineup Batting Ninth to Start Series Against Alex Cobb, Tampa Bay RaysHow many at-bats with Jose Iglesias get on Monday night?

A day after being pulled by Bobby Valentine in the middle of an at-bat, the 22-year-old Iglesias is back in the lineup, batting ninth and playing shortstop. He's hitting just .071 this season in 12 games, but will look to improve on that mark and perhaps instill some more confidence in his manager going up against Tampa Bay right-hander Alex Cobb.

Cobb has failed to get past the fifth inning in two of his last three starts, but it hasn't been for a lack of production. The 24-year-old is on a tight leash with manager Joe Maddon, but Cobb has impressed when allowed to go deep into games. The Rays are 3-1 in his last four starts — all against contending teams — and during that stretch, Cobb is striking out nearly eight batters per nine innings.

The Red Sox will send out a young lineup once again looking to throw a wrench in the Rays' playoff chances on Monday, with Iglesias, Pedro Ciriaco and Ryan Lavarnway all getting a start.
