NHL and NHLPA Scheduled to Talk Friday, Likelihood of New Deal Still Unknown (Video)

On Thursday, the National Hockey League canceled all remaining preseason games. On Friday, the owners and NHLPA will try to keep regular season games from being canceled as well.

A meeting between the two parties is scheduled for Friday, with the opportunity to talk through the weekend should things go positively. The owners and players will have to agree on a new collective bargainning agreement soon or regular season games will start being cut. The urgency for a new CBA is clearly there.

Check out the video above to hear former NHLPA executive director Paul Kelley talk about what to look for this weekend.
