Prince Fielder Loses Track of Outs in Inning, Tries to Play it Off By Asking for Water (Video)Nice try, Prince Fielder.

After fielding a grounder and tossing it to Justin Verlander at first base in the fourth inning of Friday's 4-0 win over the Indians, the Tigers first baseman trotted off to the dugout, thinking it was the final out of the frame.

It was only the second out, however. Upon realizing his mistake — he was the only one to leave the diamond — Fielder tried to play it off, motioning for teammates in the dugout to hand over a cup of water.

Once he returned to first base, Fielder kept insisting he needed water before eventually letting out a smile. Clearly, he was caught red-handed after losing track of the number of outs.

Good thing the veteran has a sense of humor.
