Russell Wilson Called Wrong Play in Huddle Before Golden Tate Caught Game-Winning Touchdown for SeahawksDuring the Seahawks' game-winning touchdown drive at the end of Monday night's showdown with the Packers, Russell Wilson was cool, calm and collected. But apparently the rookie quarterback got frazzled in the huddle just before tossing his controversial touchdown pass.

Facing a 4th-and-10 with just eight seconds left on the
clock, Wilson got the play from the sidelines and turned to explain the call
to his teammates. The only issue is the play he called wasn't the right one,
according to Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports.

Wilson mistakenly called a "waggle" play in the
huddle, which called for him to roll out to the right while a few receivers ran
shorter underneath routes, instead of sending three receivers to the corner of
the end zone as he was supposed to. Luckily for Wilson and the Seahawks, only
some of the players ran the play he called while others, like eventual
"hero" Golden Tate, ran the play he was supposed to call.

The botched call could have been a big problem for Wilson,
who barely won the Seahawks starting job out of training camp, if Seattle ended up
losing the controversial game. Instead, the outcome has just created an even
bigger issue for commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL for their use of
replacement officials.
