Major League Baseball has had a slew of weird injuries, but Ryan Howard may have won the award for the weirdest.
The Phillies slugger broke a toe Saturday after reportedly dropping a lead pipe on it, and he won't play in any of the team's final four games of the season, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

In Howard's final at-bat of last season, he tore his Achilles' tendon as he ran out of the batter's box, delaying the start of his 2012 campaign until early July. In 71 games with the Phillies this season, Howard hit a minuscule .219 with 14 home runs and 56 RBIs.
Howard earns $20 million this season and is owed $95 million over the next four seasons, and possibly an extra $23 million should the Phillies exercise his 2017 option. That's a lot of money for a guy who drops heavy objects on his toes.
