The NCAA’s Hockey East has been one of the premier conferences, boasting nationally ranked teams like Boston College, Boston University and Northeastern University. With a weekend schedule full of inter-conference competition, fans may forget about the NHL lockout for a short time.

One of the most intriguing matchups takes place on Saturday, as Boston University visits UMass-Amherst. BU heads into the game with a record of 1-1, while Massachusetts sits at 0-1 on the young season.
