The entire team was on hand at TD Garden for Friday's Shamrock Gala, which raised money for the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation. Proceeds from the event went to the focus partners of the Shamrock Foundation, which includes Perkins School for the Blind, Children's Hospital Boston, Horizon's for Homeless Children, The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), Citi Performing Arts Center, Berklee City Music Network and Positive Coaching Alliance.
Paul Pierce was honored at the event, receiving the New England Baptist Community Champion Award for his "15 years of leadership, loyalty, and legacy of what it truly means to be a Celtic."
Celtics co-owner and Shamrock Foundation President Steve Pagliuca was impressed by the Celtics faithful for donating to the worthy charities.
"This gala dinner is always a wonderful
event to help welcome the start of a new season," Pagliuca said. "Each year I am always impressed by the generosity of Celtics fans."
The Celtics start the season on Tuesday against the Heat.
