Football is a sport that is evolving and hoping to create an environment where head injuries are no longer an issue. Apparently Canada missed the memo.

In a CFL contest between Winnipeg and Hamilton, Winnipeg defensive back Deon Beasley delivered one of the most vicious blows in recent memory. On the receiving end, Hamilton wideout Bakari Grant miraculously gets up without any assistance from medical personnel.

The hit — which would have almost certainly resulted in a fine and suspension in the NFL — was deemed legal by the CFL officials overseeing the game.
