Evgeni Malkin
is doing typical Evgeni Malkin things over in Russia.

Malkin’s KHL team, Metallurg Magnitogorsk, won its game against Amur Khabarovsk 3-0 on Monday, but it was the Penguins forward who drew oohs and aahs from the crowd.

The reigning Hart Trophy winner scored an impressive backhanded goal in the third period after deking around a helpless defender. The defenseman never had a chance, the goalie never had a chance, and evidently the opposing team never had a chance.

It’s always nice to see an NHL player performing well overseas, but it’s also a reminder of what we’re missing out on having in our own backyard.

Nevertheless, check out Malkin’s sick goal below.
