Hunter Pence Catches Fly Ball With Wrists as Giants Fend Off Cardinals (Video)

Hunter Pence took his glove with him to the ballpark Friday night, but he decided he was better off using his wrists on one key catch.

With San Francisco working with a 4-0 lead as the Giants trailed St. Louis 3-1 in the National League Championship Series, Pence made a great sliding catch in right field to keep the scoreboard clean in the fifth inning.

What was tricky, though, was how Pence corralled the ball. While he did as all Little Leaguers are taught and used both hands, it wasn't exactly his hands that made the difference in the end.
