Fenway Park, especially in recent years, has been the home to many events that were considered to be unusual for the 100-year-old ballpark.
The Boston Red Sox' home field has housed everything from soccer matches to hockey games, and next summer it will act as a stage for country music star Jason Aldean.
Aldean visited Fenway on Thursday to formally make the annoucement and with it becomes the first country music artist to announce a concert at the park.
Fenway has plans to host several other events such as the Warrior Dash and Spartan Race, along with the normal list of acts that play there in the summer.
