John Farrell Plans to Hold Red Sox Players Accountable While Being Candid, Upfront (Video)


Red Sox Nation has expressed varying opinions on a number of players in recent years. Sometimes, there's frustration because of a player's conduct, while other times, the angst is related to the player's on-field performance. Whatever the case, John Farrell is ready to hold those in the Red Sox clubhouse accountable for their actions.

This isn't to say Farrell is looking to turn everything upside down, but the new skipper did make it a point to say he'll be candid and upfront with his players. Likewise, he plans to hold himself accountable as the team moves forward.

Farrell had plenty of other interesting things to say at his introductory news conference Tuesday, and many of his viewpoints will surely get Sox fans fired up for a culture change. Check out the video above to hear the excited Farrell discuss his hiring, among other topics.
