NHL Owners, Players’ Association Continue Talks, Sides Still Can’t Come to Terms on Economics (Video)

At this point, no news is good news.

The NHL owners and representatives for the Players' Association continued their meetings on Wednesday, but both sides could not come to an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Fans have already faced the reality that they will not see a professional hockey game until at least Oct. 25 and have to just hope that ESPN continues to air marquee KHL matchups. That way they can at least catch a glimpse of some of their favorite stars taking the ice.

For those optimists out there, at least the two sides are meeting on a consistent basis to iron out their issues. It's the effort that counts right?

To hear what representatives from the two sides had to say about Wednesday's meetings, check out the video above.
