Report: Brad Ausmus Not Interested in Interviewing for Marlins JobBrad Ausmus
has been mentioned in almost every managerial search this offseason, but there is one job the former major leaguer is not at all interested in.

The Miami Marlins — who recently fired Ozzie Guillen after one season — requested to interview Ausmus, but he informed the Padres that he was not interested, according to the Miami Herald's Clark Spencer. Ausmus currently serves as a special assistant to San Diego general manager Josh Byrnes.

Ausmus was interviewed by the Red Sox during their search but was passed over for John Farrell earlier this week. He also interviewed with the Astros about their opening but withdrew his name, citing personal reasons.

Ausmus played 18 seasons in the major leagues with four different teams before retiring after the 2010 season.

In addition to the Marlins, the Rockies and Blue Jays are also in the market for a manager.
