Report: Dustin Pedroia's Fractured Finger Could Keep Him Out for Rest of 2012 SeasonThe 2012 Red Sox' injury bug continues.

Dustin Pedroia has an avulsion fracture on his left ring finger, according to Gordon Edes of The injury may sideline Pedroia for the last two games of the season, although Edes said Pedroia wants to try to play again.

Pedroia hurt his finger Sunday sliding into second base against the Orioles.

Pedroia batted .288 this season with 15 home runs and 64 RBIs in 139 games.

This isn't the first time Pedroia has had a hand injury this season. He missed six games in May with a torn thumb muscle on his right hand and was placed on the disabled list in July after hyperextending the same thumb.

The Red Sox have had a multitude of players miss extended time with injuries this season, including Jacoby Ellsbury, Will Middlebrooks, John Lackey, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Andrew Bailey, Mark Melancon and departed players Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford.

Lets hope this injury bug doesn't follow the team into 2013.
