Report: Michael Vick Likely to Be Benched as Eagles Quarterback in Favor of Nick FolesMichael Vick indicated Sunday afternoon that a quarterback change was coming for the Philadelphia Eagles. It appears he was right.

Eagles radio sideline reporter Howard Eskin is reporting that Philly is likely to bench the struggling Vick in favor of rookie quarterback Nick Foles. According to Eskin, the change mainly stems from Vick's inability to improve from week to week. The Eagles coaching staff was reportedly upset with two bad audible mistakes made on Sunday in a losing effort against the Falcons.

Vick has been a turnover machine through seven games, having racked up 13 turnovers — eight interceptions and five lost fumbles. Vick has also been sacked 20 times.

The change wouldn't be a surprise to Vick himself.

"Obviously, he's thinking about making a change at quarterback," Vick said after the Eagles' 30-17 loss to the undefeated Falcons. "If he makes that decision, I support it."

Foles, a 23-year-old rookie out of Arizona, has yet to throw a pass in the NFL. Foles completed 40 of 63 passes (63.5 percent) in four preseason games, throwing six touchdowns and just two interceptions, good for a 110.1 quarterback rating.

If Foles is under center this weekend, his first start would come against the New Orleans Saints. Opposing quarterbacks have posted a 110.6 passer rating against the Saints — the highest figure in the league. The Saints have also allowed 305 yards per game through the air.
