Report: Mike Thomas Traded From Jaguars to Lions for Undisclosed Mid-Round PickThe NFL has its first trade before Thursday's pushed-back trade deadline.

The Jaguars have traded wide receiver Mike Thomas to the Lions for an undisclosed mid-round draft pick according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The deal comes six days after Detroit placed receiver Nate Burleson on injured reserve with a broken right leg.

Thomas will likely be a backup to rookie slot reveiver Ryan Broyles, who has embraced the role since replacing Burleson in the Lions three-receiver sets. Thomas had recently found himself behind Cecil Shorts on the Jaguars' depth chart. Jaguars free-agent pickup Laurent Robinson should also be back soon from a concussion that has kept him out since Week 4.
