Hurricane Sandy has managed to become a headline in every realm of news and it’s beginning to insert itself into the NFL.

The NFL offices, which are housed in New York City, were closed on Monday and will be closed again on Tuesday, according to a tweet from NFL’s Around the League.

On any other week, the offices being closed for two days would not be that big of a deal, but Tuesday marks the NFL’s trade deadline. With the offices being closed, that deadline is now in jeopardy.

ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter is also reporting that the league is contemplating moving the deadline back.

The NFL trading deadline used to be in Week 6, but under the collective bargaining agreement that began last season. the deadline is now Week 9.
