Patriots fans have learned that Tom Brady can succeed regardless of who he’s throwing to, but that isn’t going to stop Bill Belichick and Co. from constantly searching for ways to upgrade.

The Patriots worked out wide receiver Legedu Naanee on Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson reports. According to Wilson, there’s no contract between the two sides, but the workout reportedly went well.

Naanee was cut by the Dolphins last week after the team signed wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, who had been cut by the Patriots earlier this season. Naanee caught one pass for 19 yards in four games with Miami.

Naanee spent his first four seasons in San Diego before joining Carolina last season. The 29-year-old reeled in a career-high 44 catches for 467 yards and a touchdown with the Panthers in 2011.
