Richard Sherman Calls Calvin Johnson a 'Non-Factor,' Continuing Endless Rampage on NFL SuperstarsTalk is cheap, unless you can back it up.

Plenty of NFL stars are known for spouting off during games, but apparently Richard Sherman likes to do his talking off the field. Even after losses.

Sherman, who first popped up on the national scene when calling out Tom Brady
after the Seahawks’ win a few weeks ago, turned his attention to Calvin Johnson this
week. He even changed his Twitter name to Optimus Prime as a joking reference to
stopping “Megatron” — the nickname bestowed on Johnson because of his freakish
athleticism — as the two prepare for a showdown in Detroit.

After the game, the Lions might have walked away with the win but apparently Sherman was still feeling victorious in his own right. Sherman and the Seattle defense held Johnson to just three catches for 46 yards on the day, and Sherman was sure to point out the lack of production after the game, according to the News Tribune.

“I mean, you see his numbers – they speak for themselves,” Sherman said. “He was a
non-factor. So, you know, that’s how that went.”

Johnson didn’t exactly see things the way Sherman described, rather referencing his own personal inability to connect with quarterback Matthew Stafford.

“It wasn’t anything crazy,” Johnson said after the game. “You know, we got single
coverage. We just couldn’t get the ball out. You know, it was nothing crazy they did
today.”

Whatever the reason, Johnson was unable to get going on Sunday, a rarity for the ultra-talented receiver. But after suffering a loss in which the Seattle defense allowed 352 passing yards and three touchdowns, maybe Sherman should keep the talk to himself.
