Robert Griffin III's Headset Was Malfunctioning on Redskins' Game-Winning DriveThe Redskins had some issues to overcome on their game-winning drive on Sunday against the Bucanneers, and those issues even surpassed having to rely on Billy Cundiff to kick a game-winning field goal.

The Skins were also battling a communication issue, as quarterback Robert Griffin III's headset picked the worst time to stop working correctly. According to NFL.com, Griffin was having problems with the headset in his helmet on the final drive, which obviously complicated communication with his coaching staff.

Luckily for Washington, they were prepared for just that scenario.

"The whole drive was a little complicated," Griffin said, according to The Associated Press, via NFL.com. "In practice every week, we always practice me calling the plays in two-minute, acting as if the headset goes out. The funny thing was the headset did go out on that drive. That's why I was having to run back and forth to the sideline.

"I had to call a couple of my own plays, and we moved the chains and got in field-goal range. It was very neat how that practice situation, that practice scenario, actually played out in the game."

The Redskins were trailing by one when they got the ball back at their own 20-yard line with 1:42 to play for the game's final possession. Griffin completed four passes for 46 yards and added a 15-yard run to put Cundiff in position to win it for Washington on a 41-yard field goal.

The No. 2 overall pick in last spring's draft finished the game with 323 yards passing to go along with 43 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
