A day after the face of the Yankee franchise rolled on the ground in excruciating pain, it seems many who root for the Bronx Bombers aren't thinking very positively about their team's chances in the ALCS against the Tigers.
In the sixth inning of Game 2 at Yankee Stadium, CBS New York reporter Tony Aiello snapped a picture of the right field bleachers, revealing a lot of empty midnight navy seats. Entering the inning, the two teams were tied 0-0, with Hiroki Kuroda and Anibal Sanchez pitching well for their respective teams.
Derek Jeter was ruled out for the remainder of the postseason late Saturday night after fracturing his ankle in the 12th inning of the Yankees 6-4 loss against Detroit.
With Jeter out and Alex Rodriguez and the rest of the Yankees struggling at the plate — except for Raul Ibanez that is — postseason baseball may just come to a screeching halt in the Bronx. And fans seem to think so too.
